Canadian Environmental Network
Blog Contributor (on-going basis)

Description: RCEN is looking for skilled volunteers to contribute environmental blog posts to feature on our website, newsletter, and social media platforms. This position is remote.
Potential Duties: Conducting online research on topics of interest; writing op-eds on topics you are knowledgeable in; interviewing environmental experts for Q&A style posts; acquiring appropriate images to include with the article; citing your information sources.
Commitment: 1 article every 1-3 months

Social Media Contributor (on-going basis)

Description: RCEN is looking for skilled volunteers to contribute a variety of environmental content to feature on our social media platforms. This position is remote.
Potential Duties: Conducting online research on topics of interest; creating social media content on topics you are knowledgeable in using Canva or a design program of your choice; identifying relevant trends in the social media world; acquiring appropriate images to include within the posts; citing your information sources.
Commitment: 5-10 hours per month

Canadian Wildlife Federation
Team Leader (open until filled)

Description: The WILD Outside Remote program is looking for Adult Volunteer Team Leaders (and assistants) aged 18+ to organize and deliver educational and conservation-based programming in their community with support from CWF staff. Anywhere in Canada; volunteer from home and on-site.
WILD Outside is a national conservation-based youth community service and leadership program designed for youth ages 15 to 18.
Qualifications:
Standard First Aid with CPR or higher, or willingness to complete at own expense
Reliable transportation to and from event sites
Ability to maintain reliable and regular electronic communication with Remote Leadership Specialists and program participants.
Good judgement, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
Strong organizational skills
Access to a computer and internet
Experience facilitating youth programs or outdoor programming is considered a strong asset
Commitment: Approximately 15 hours per month; minimum of 2 events per month for at least 1 year, including planning, delivery, and wrap-up.
